Ball Point or Sharp Needle

If you are sewing on a garment, use a ball point needle. With the exception of heavy jackets & denim most garments are thin. Sharp needles cut the fabric. A ball point needle is easier on the fabric. In this picture, the garment was sewn with a sharp needle.
