Why do I see random stitches by my design?

The stitches you see around the design are underlay stitches.  Underlay stitches are part of the design.  The stitches are put there to hold the fabric down and attach the garment to the backing.  In this image, the garment was able to move while stitching.  The garment must be secure in the hoop so it doesn’t move.  This is a pocket and it should have been pinned down to minimize movement.
