Left Chest Placement

Finding the correct left chest placement when embroidering a logo on left chest can be a simple measurement.

There are tools available, for purchase, to help with the process but a simple measuring tape will do.

Place the measuring tape where the collar meets the shirt at the top.

6 inches down to 9 inches down depending on the shirt. The larger the shirt, the more you come down to the 9 inch mark. There is no perfect chart because collars on shirts are different.

For this men’s large shirt, 7.25″ seemed to be the accurate placement. The center of the logo will be the pin placement in this image. The pin placement is 7.25″ down from where the collar meets the shirt.

Logos should be approximately 3.5″ wide. ( The size of a business card ) If the logo is any wider, it may land under the customers armpit.

If you are embroidering on a shirt with a pocket, just center the logo above the pocket. There should be a space approximately half an inch from the bottom of the logo and the top of the pocket.
